Commercial Smithfield Market, London The project involved the replanting of the existing CHP system run by Eon that supplied electricity to the grid and LPCW and LPHW via 400mm mains into a 12kM existing District Heating and Cooling system.

The whole of the plant was removed and replaced with the 4-off 4MW CHP’S that supplied MPHW at 118C initially, with two 5MW absorption chillers to supply chilled water at 6/12C. Works also included the refurb of 3 large gas-fired boilers as back-up, a 330,000ltr Thermal Store, 90,000ltr CW storage tanks and evaporative condensers.

Residential The Broadway, Crawley Surrey M&E in a collaborative environment led by the client & professional team, attended workshops to review the current design, programme, potential scope gaps to develop the design to achieve technical compliance. The use of the pre-construction period ensured that procurement of plant, equipment, materials, labour was completed earlier than programmed. We ensured that all our interfaces with other packages were known early to ensure that all works were delivered on programme
in accordance with the clients requirements.

In alliance with ADD NAME Roofing as part of the SCIF framework, Surrey M&E scope was to survey, strip out, build interior walls, plastering, flooring, decoration, lighting, electrical, mechanical, public health installation test/ commission as well as supply & install the clients specified furniture across this range of schools. Improvement Fund (SCIF)

Commercial Bridge View, Aberdeen The principal contractor engaged with Surrey M&E early to survey, assist with the scope, programme duration & cost plan.SME scope was to strip out, M&E design, procurement, installation test/ commission including flooring, ceilings, decoration & installing the client approved furniture. This enabled SME to arrange labour, purchase materials & equipment early for programme benefit. RIBA Stage: Client: Start of Project: Contract Value: Type of Contract: Programme: Quest Interiors 6 Weeks £500k Stage 5 TBC JCT 2016 Utilities Millharbour, Canary Wharf; Alyth & Kinardochy Surrey M&E has been engaged with Modus Utilities the District Network Operator (DNO) to design, install test/ commission works to UKPN standards to enable Modus Utilities to operate on the Ballymore Millharbour development in Canary Wharf.

SSE appointed Surrey M&E to fit-out sub stations including the mechanical services, small power, lighting, fire alarm, security & solar PV for their client Omexom on their Alyth & Kinardochy as part of their upgrade works to support the national electrical network.

Residential 177 Abbeyville Road, Clapham Surrey M&E worked closely with the client and their professional team to develop the design for the change of tenure from office to residential.Our project leads & supply chain (when required) attended the design workshops, on site during construction to support the team in delivering the project & achieving the programme. SME advised on potential risks (eg utilities) & dependencies required by other packages (eg builders work sizes) to de-risk the delivery.
